Background

The Substance Abuse Prevention Research Center was established in 2011 by Dr. Touraj Ahmadi Joybari with the participation and cooperation of the Psychiatric Department, and in 2012, this center succeeded in obtaining the agreement in principle approval from the Ministry of Health. This center succeeded in obtaining the final approval of the Ministry of Health on 16/4/2017. Currently, Dr. Vahid Farnia, Professor of Psychiatry at Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences, is the director of the Substance Abuse Prevention Research Center.
